In the columns, since it's empty, I can stick it at the end and make it narrow so it doesn't take up much space, but in Edit Metadata, it just takes up space.
Even if both happen that's great. I know some I only use in column view not edit metadata, so picking and choosing would work great.

Yes, but both (not just one). The Job Spy Plug-in is a tool box of 20 different tools, among which are specific tools for each of those two options.
