For anyone curious, my database is about 830 MB. Most of it in KoboReader.sqlite. I have backuped the database in Calibre, so I have backups going back a ways.

However after the processing (which took less than 8 hours, FYI. It was done when I woke up) the Kobo still reset very, very slowly. The book that would not open, did open however.

I think I am going to factory reset it anyway just to see if it helps. (A new issue popped up about an unexpected error.) It's not really too much work with Calibre and I have those backups in case I need them. I will put the books on in stages so that I can determine if that is the root cause. I'll be back when I am done with an update.

Thanks again for the help!

Edit: With only my kobo store books on it, it loads really fast. I am going to add some from Calibre now.

Edit 2: With 300 books restarting is very fast.

Edit 3: At 1300 books all is well.

Edit 4: 3000 books and no lag

Edit 5: Looks like the magic number is between 5000 and 6000 somewhere. After that I'm back to the slow restart issue. The restart also took a lot less time then it used to when it was at 10000+ books, even at 6000, so I think as long as I keep the numbers down it will be manageable. Thanks again for all the help!
