The most probable scenario I can think of is if you updated it, but some how received or saved a corrupted plugin zip file and didn't notice until later. We do occasionally see that happen with Calibre plugins.

I've just recently learned that there's a problem in the Swedish and French translations that can prevent FanFicFare from showing up, but reinstalling wouldn't help with that. Hopefully I'll be able to fix that after Kovid gets home from his vacation.
