Since you can already turn off warnings (especially to delete books, etc which I agree we should not do), that should not be an issue. If you haven't copied a column, and specifically said you don't want to copy a column, well...5 years down the line it's unlikely to be an issue anyway.

I don't want NO warning. If I add a new column, yes I want to be asked. If I create a new library and copy an existing book with existing custom columns, I want to be asked, even if I previously said no for other libraries.

In my case, I 'fix up' all my books in the intake library before sending them where they belong, therefore it needs all the columns from the other libraries. So at times, I can get up to 10 warnings (if it's a busy day). Then, if I have to restart for some reason, that can be another 10. Distracting and annoying.

Like I said, I can copy the columns, but then they're just taking up space in the libraries that don't need them. I would certainly prefer turning off the warning completely once I've seen it (or have the option at least to turn it off, just like the option is there for the delete book warning)
