Import PDF Metadata to Moon+
Hey everybody!
I have been searching for a solution to my little problem for a while now and so far, none of the forums or internet reviews or homepages have come up with something that fixed my problem. (Although I would also not rule out the fact that I might have misssed the forest for the trees. ;-) )
Anyway, this is my problem:
I am using my Asus Transformer TF101 as my ebook reader. After trying out a few apps, I have grown to like the free version of Moon+ Reader. It's the easiest to use for me and does exactly what I want it to do. Plus, I like the layout and reading experience best there.
I am managing my ebook collection on my computer in calibre where I change and update my meta data. Since I'm interested in a lot of different things, I'm grouping my books into series for a better overview, because I find that easier than grouping them by tags since some tags overlap. (For example, I have baseball books that I tagged as 'Non-Fiction' and I have books on dinosaurs that I tagged as 'Non-Fiction'. However, I group the baseball books under my 'baseball' series and the dinosaur books under my 'dinosaur' series.)
Now, there's a lot of books that I have only in PDF-format and they include a lot of illustrated books.
Syncing my device with calibre works perfectly fine and it also updates the metadata without any fuss or problems. However, Moon+ doesn't load the metadata for the PDFs. I could go and change the metadata manually in Moon+, but a) I still can't the PDFs to any series this way and b) if I update my library via calibre, it also changes the PDFs metadata back to what I had before I changed them in Moon+.
So now my question is:
Is there any way to import the metadata set for PDFs in calibre into Moon+, so it works the same way this works for books in epub or mobi format?
OR
Does anyone of you know a good converter to change illustrated books to epubs without losing the picture quality or the books getting totally distorted?
Thank you all very much in advance!
