I think eReaders are much like the P.A.D.D. of Star Trek myself. Granted that devices like the Kindle Fire are closer to that device in that they can access the net, be used to play games, view movies, etc. but even the dedicated devices are pretty close to what used to be pure Sci. Fi. tech.
