Oh, man! I remember picking up the whole ten books in hardcover for like a buck a piece from a wholesaler close to twenty years ago... I slogged through six or seven volumes before petering out and then left them behind because the lot was too heavy to move when it came time to switch apartments.

All I remember about the series is I wanted a pair of "engineers" boots.
