Thank you, odamizu for sharing that. I want something that stays sharp and black with or without lighting. I was wondering if this was a new trend with the Amazon devices in terms of lighting and the washed out letters (although many have reported variances).

My dilemma is whether I spring for the current Voyage in hopes that I get the nicer contrast or wait until the Oasis goes through a few production cycles that may improve this issue with a bit more uniformity.

Till, then I will continue with the current PW. Thanks to everyone for their input here. I think I found a nice online community to hang out in between reading, work and research.
