I received a response from Audiobooks.com. The code was a marketing tool used for tracking purposes and not intended to offer an additional free book to anyone. So much for assuming that it was for an additional book on my part.

My experience in dealing with Audiobooks.com over this matter has shown that they have excellent customer service.
