If I click on the "Download" button, I've got to choose to download the Apple or Android app. Maybe if I actually installed one of the apps (remember: I can't do that right now), then it would let me also stream it. Oh, Audiobooks' limited help file (just some FAQs, with answers, so far as I can tell) doesn't say anything about it.
I think you can keep playing it, at the end of the sample ...

ETA: This is the message you get if you have a credit and are signed in:

You have completed the sample, do you wish to continue listening to this audio book?<br />(This book requires 1 credit)
You can pick Back to Browsing or Continue - the latter purchases the book and the sample keeps playing.

Another tip - if you don't want to listen to the sample, but do wish to purchase, move the sample's time bar over to nearly the end and listen to the last few seconds, then the message above will display.

Also, from your library, you can listen on the web. I just continued the Asimov Foundation Trilogy, which picked up at 3:02, which was how long I had to listen before adding to my library.

I did download their app, somewhere (maybe on the ipad?) just to get a free audiobook a while back. I don't use it other than to download the MP3 and back up locally or to move to my small MP3 player to listen in the car.
