Booxtor, please make that 4-6 requests. I bought the Max especially for text editing, and being able to use my own choice of keyboard would be great.

If the hardware support is there and the code already exists, the devs could easily create a setting to toggle it. Creating an UI for that involves extra-work, but I for one could do just fine with a "low-level switch" (editing a configuration file or somesuch), and i bet others feel the same. Given the battery drain you mentioned, this would make it obvious it's an "at your own risk" move.

P.S.: has Onyx considered an open source development model? I'd have already changed / improved some things had I had access to the code. With such a device that's appealing to developers, one never knows...
