One could also try to turn its smartphone (or tablet) into a touchpad for the onyx boox max, I know there exist android applications for that, from android to windows PC, I have not investigated if it is possible between two android devices, there are no reason why it would not be possible as far as I guess.
Sounds to me as the best option, no need then to buy anything else, but it may require that both devices be wifi connected.
