Yes, it does have a lot of repetition. But being a cynic, and an author, I'm more inclined to think that Mr. Cornwell had a contract for x number of pages and was having trouble meeting the page goal.

However, that being said, there was certainly some useful information in the book, and I mostly enjoyed it for as far as I got.
