My phone is not my first choice of reading device, but I usually have it in a pinch when I might want to read--on the subway if I didn't bring my purse, in line, while waiting for any number of things. Very easy to sync it up with my kindle or Scribd or other app and keep going where I was before. I consider it a supplemental device but that's not to say I don't occasionally spend an hour or so reading on it.
