@locochavez1974: If you indeed can see a non-zero mass storage device over USB, try putting the official FW update file *for your current FW version* (or greater, with a caveat if you wanted to JB it), unplug & eject, and then trigger a hard-reboot (by holding the power button for ~10 to 15s).

EDIT: Or, less invasive, try that first.
This *will* wipe your content and unregister the device.
