For those interested: it's about a man who slowly loses himself to Alzheimer's. It's translated into English as 'Out of Mind' by J. Bernlef.

The Dutch version is available as an ebook, but it doesn't look like the English version is. Only a short book (the Dutch version is 188 pages) but very much worth the read.
