Upon further investigation I saw that the option to automatically set the last used printer as default printer was switched on. I switched it off and made sure my regular printer is set as default.

Another thing, if you don't want the other printer to keep showing up, there's a way to prevent it, though I can't think of it off the top of my head.

It's a great idea to change the name, but that seems to not be possible in Windows 10

. My sister's printer has yet to appear on my printer list again, though I have no doubt it will, at some point.
