No cover for my Mini. It is in a silicone shell - covering back and sides. Being the smallest e-ink screen (currently, or most recently) I feel it is least susceptible to damage. I keep a soft pouch in my purse for when I am taking it out of the house.
No cover for my Aura HD. Had one, didn't like the added bulk. I don't take the Aura HD out of the house. Being such a large screen, I consider it the most susceptible to damage.
As I have said before, the only one I ever broke was in its case, closed, as I reached to put it in my purse. Dropped it on a tile floor and it was a goner.
I don't think the case is all that helpful when dropped on a hard surface. It has a lot to do with the angle at which it strikes, I think. I am more careful about putting readers in my bag, now. Don't stand while putting it away = my plan.
