FWIW, if you can get the Tchaikovsky 5 (and from your message it looks like you did, GtrsRGr8), the recording seems to be by the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra / Fernando Lozano.
I suppose that the Mexico City Philharmonic has less prestige than, say, the Royal Philharmonic. But I don't have the ear to notice the difference in quality, assuming that there is a difference. I'm not sure that I could tell the difference if it was the local high school's band, for the matter. ha
