I was surprised to see that I've read about 80 of the first list, and over 70 of the second. That's probably because I have been seeking the "classics" of the genre over the last few years, as I have with SF.

"Hamlet, Revenge!" was one off my recent reads.

You can always argue "best" lists indefinitely, and say Why not so-and-so? but those two lists are pretty good selections. Of Elmore Leonard's, I prefer "Glitz" to "Stick", but of course it's a matter of opinion.
