"2 months" vs "3 days" is how *all* of the kindles are, so this is no different (not that you said it was). They pick some "per day reading rate" and then standardize the time measurements to that. But since people likely to spend $290+ on an ereader are most likely to be the avid readers ..... 30 minutes winds up being a ridiculous comparison time frame! I only get 3-4 days of "full weekend days" reading on my Voyage too. Which is to say ... I do laundry, I eat, I walk the dog, but there are a lot of hours of reading on those days. Sounds like the Oasis is not noticeably different -- though they claim an hour or two more (spread out over their silly 30-minutes a day rate).

Yep ... I'm a binge reader

On days I work 12 hour shifts I can only read when I'm eating - arrgh! Depending on my days off and how busy I am I might only get 1 hour, or I might get 4 hours of reading in. If it's a really great book I might just say heck with it and read all day in between chores and buy the next book in the series and continue. Right now I'm in a Masters class - research study (busy work research - yuk!) so I will be having to write monster papers too. Thus my reading might have to decrease some. Then in September-ish I will be in my practicum and I probably won't do any reading for 5 weeks since I have to work full time and get 150 hours in with a director at work (super yuk for being at work 7 days a week- 3 - 12hr shifts and 4 - 8 hr shifts each week - the actual time with the director will be great if I can keep my eyeballs open).
