Back in my days at the university (it was a well known Methodist university, PM me if you really must know) the views expressed on Patricia's cited website were not that uncommon (from the professors.) My fellow students were another matter. The department I was in was far removed from them although I did have to take several courses with them as we were both administered in the same college.

Back in the early 1970s there was a (then young) disk jockey named Don Imus (yes, the same Don Imus) and he created a radio character on his NYC radio show called "Rev Billie Sol Hargis" of the First Church of the Gooey Death & Discount House of Worship.
