Not a solution though -- only lab126-compiled binaries seem to work here. Most of my testing in the past was on /mnt/us, not /mnt/us/bin. But I wanted a cleaner layout before posting my file tree (which I did above). I F-ed up when I copy/pasted some code (forgetting to add the "bin" to the path). At least I found it (thanks to being more alert than usual this morning).

However, the unsolved problem remains -- how to build binary code that works on my K1. Can one of y'all post a binary app that I can try? If it works, I need to duplicate your build environment enough so I can make progress too...
