I'm also looking for an alternative to Calibre, but one would *would* allow me to convert books and correct bad metadata. Without dealing with the library and the crashes. I've just installed Clearview; I knew it wouldn't convert books and now I've found that it doesn't actually allow me to correct bad metadata.
