The problem is that no matter the chassis, the screen can still be broken. All eInk Readers use a screen with a glass substrate and if they glass breaks, the screen is toast. So in order to minimize the risk, keep the Reader is a good case and treat it with care. Don't put it in a bag when it's possible that something can bash it enough or put undo stress on it. Also, don't put anything on top of it. You don't know what weight is too much to cause damage.
