Very inspiring speech... while, at the same time, giving a few back-handed slaps at the retiring administration.

One thing that tickles me about all this is the myriad connections to Abraham Lincoln that keep coming up, and being (a bit) contrived, around Obama. Illinois representative, sworn in on Lincoln's bible, rode the train from Illinois along Lincoln's route, etc, etc...

It continually reminds me of a moment in the movie "2010," where the NASA Administrator is telling Heywood Floyd about the impending war, and he describes the President's speech to the public:
