It's not a big deal. In my experience the page turn with the Onyx Boox Max works for a lot of pdfs in less or equal two seconds. If I would have to work with very complex pdfs I would have to adapt.
Think about page turns with real books. For real books you'll need some time for page turns as well and you could press for the next page a few seconds before.
