She got by with it for 29 years, and the damage was almost 54 million, most of which has been recouped by selling off her assets, which included a bunch of show horses and equipment.

Yeah, I Looked Stuff Up. She was a major figure in the show horse world. I have to wonder what the folks who considered her a major figure think now that's it's revealed she got the money by skimming the public trough.

I can tell you that now working for the city is a whole different ballgame, since she was what passed for an HR department, as well as comptroller! Your Chicago friend is correct - even being a relative newcomer to the state I don't ever expect them to be honest, but I do expect them to be entertaining!

And your expectations are met and exceeded.

Hi, Rumpelteazer! I hope they work out for you! Chris is our audiophile, and he's not happy with the stereo system in my new car. It is also Bose, and he insists it sounds tinny, but I don't get that at all, and am enjoying it.

Chris is correct, but you would have to do an actual audio comparison between Bose and a competitor to hear the difference and understand what you are missing.
What Rumpelteazer wants is noise cancellation, which is somewhat different from accurate reproduction of source material. Bose might be fine for her. (Sennheisers are "gold standard" in headphones, and what I'd look at first if accurate reproduction was the deciding factor.)
