Looked over at Amazon just to see what may be selling and to my surprise, there is one for sale, new, under $50 that very much resembles mine in all the important ways.
The replies here also reminded me that I tried a Sony one as well when I tried the others, and it was quite nice except that its screen was just too small for me, and at the time their larger screened models were priced out of my range.
At any event, I can recommend the one I found to my friend as there is not likely to be anything else so much like mine to be found anymore, otherwise.
