do you find the 13.3" reader the perfect size for your textbooks?

Yes, it's very readable for Computer Science textbook style content so far. I don't have any other examples to test with though.

can you try loading a PDF from dropbox app? will be slower but i was planning on downloading books from my dropbox account and loading them as my primary way of getting a book

I haven't sideloaded any apps yet. Still figuring out how I can do all that without too many annoyances. That may take a while. In general, I've tried that sort of thing before on a tablet or phone and I find the download time too annoying. But I expect most apps don't do the caching well.

does the overall is the avg of 1 - 3 seconds page turn frustrate you or is it just fine when reading a PDF?

It doesn't bother me for general reading. It's annoying when I think I'm close to the page I want to read. But I'm not being particularly clever with managing bookmarks or searching. I expect I'll need to be if I move to more non-linear reading with this eReader (e.g. for non-textbook technical books).

when you're holding the device, does it seem tiring over time or oversized? i think nathan from digital ereader mentioned it was way too big for him

It's definitely large, but I haven't found it too heavy. The size doesn't bother me given that the text+images are very good. I used to use a 10" tablet which had a smaller screen size (just enough to annoy me at times) and was a bit too heavy to read for long periods.
It's definitely a different device. There's no real advantage to reading standard books given that you can adjust the font size. But for anything not text-only it's much better. For example:
- Aziz Ansari's "Modern Romance" has a handful of inline graphs
- Many journal papers and similar technical content are a combination of text with equations and/or graphs. It's even worse with standard 2-column formatting.
I've tried the above on a 6" eReader (Kobo Aura HD) and it's too frustrating for me.
