Initial Setup

I just got mine today as well. I'm not huge on unboxing videos, but I'll post up my impressions and answer as many questions as I can.
  • Power Up: On first power up, you first go through a bunch of setup menus: language, screen timeout, power off timeout, network inactivity, time zone, set up date and time.
  • Network Setup: First thing I did was turn on WiFi. It looks like it doesn't support 5.0GHz wireless.
  • External microSD Card: Putting in a 128GB Sandisk Ultra microSDHC card initially gave me a "damaged SD card" message on the screen. Not surprising, given that it was formatted exFAT. I used guiformat to reformat the card as FAT32. It took a few seconds to mount the card, but afterward, the Storage settings shows me the following:
    • [Internal] Storage: 16 GB Total Space, 11.73 GB Available
    • SD Card: 119 GB Total Space, 119 GB Available
  • Screen Size: By my measurements, it's 8" W x 10 5/8" H.

I still haven't figured out how to install applications over the network yet, but I'll be doing some testing out when I can.
