Some people can see things that most people can't. When everyone had the old CRT monitors at work I couldn't look at them because I could see flickering if the refresh rate was set too low. Every person whose desk I had to go to to help them out would have to fix the refresh rate or I would refuse to help them. One guy even turned it back to 60 because he didn't believe I could see it when he couldn't. A few days later when I was at his desk I had to tell him to fix it again and he finally believed that I could see the flickering.
