Oh no, my father has problems with spending money at all. Despite having his own store, when buying other things the concept of inflation is lost on him.
Last week his belt was worn out. He wanted a good quality leather one but did not want to spend more than €10 on it. It's also the case with things he wants. For the past four years he asks for money for his birthday, father's day and Christmas to get a new notebook. He has enough money for a while now to get one that is better than it needs to be (he only uses it to surf the internet) but he balks at spending more than a couple of hundred euros though he wants a good one that doesn't need replacing within a couple of years.
