You can buy travel guides to the states of the Union, or you can get one free from most, if not all, of the official departments of travel/tourism of each state. You just have to put up with some advertisements, sometimes, inside the official ones; that's really about all of the difference that there is.
I'm not trying to promote Kansas as a travel destination. And I don't plan on starting a pattern of this. I just ran across this
free official travel guide for the state while doing some research on Kansas' state library to see if there were any ebook freebies to be had from them (there weren't--not even this travel guide). And, I thought, "Aw, why not post it?"
