I don't use any cloud services. All of my books are stored on my pc, a back up drive, and my devices.
I copy both my Kindle and epub books over to each individual device. It might be more work for most, but I have no problem highlighting, dragging and dropping from my pc to my devices.
What I love about MoonReader is that once I open the program it finds those new books and adds them automatically.
