How do Cybook and Pocketbook compare to a general use Android tablet? I have FB reader on an old Acer A500. Trouble is, it's a 10.2" tablet and heavy with screen glare.
I have FB reader set up to show the file tree on the card and nothing else. No cutesy shelves or graphics.

I don't particularly need Google, but do need wifi and sd card. I also want an e-ink screen. I've had a non-google tablet and got apps from Amazon.

I see some readers in Amazon UK that look interesting - kid lives in UK, send to her, have her rebox or whatever and send to me.

I did look at the comparison list but the last post was 2011. Not much help with the new ereaders.

I don't like Kindle's controlled world, Don't like B&N, and Kobo is following Kindle.

I'm one of those who usually want LESS than more.
