@MerlinMama - would re-sequencing series to something like this help,

1 -> 1.1
2 -> 1.2
3 -> 2.0
...
14 -> 13.1
15 -> 13.2
16 -> 14.0
...
19 -> 17.1
20 -> 17.2
21 -> 17.3
22 -> 18.0
...
34 -> 30.0
