I noticed that PDF page rendering was much slower on my 8" PocketBook Inkpad than on my 6" PocketBook Touch Lux. The Inkpad has more RAM and a comparable CPU, so I deduced that it came down to the number of pixels that had to be calculated in each case. So, going to an even higher number of pixels may degrade performance even further. A lot more has to be done that just slapping a bigger screen into existing devices (faster CPUs, more memory, bigger battery, thicker light layer,...).
