I have been using the M96 daily for nearly a year now and I definitely cannot see it breaking from normal use. Also no such posts on the web, which is more than you can say for the M92.
I also recall reading something by Booxtor that the M96 frame was strengthened compared to the M92.
That said, I recently replaced the bendy factory cover with a more rigid universal leather cover - and I am not buying another e-reader unless it has a flexible screen.
