You can change your price from
$0.99 up to $200.00 any time you want. There is no changing from free to not-free because you can't set it free to begin with.
The price you choose may change your
royalty option depending how you've selected things. To get 70% you have to price between $2.99 and $9.99. For the 35% option you can price between $0.99 and $200.00 (less than 3MB file), $1.99 and $200.00 (3MB to 10MB file) or between $2.99 and $200.00 (10MB or more).
The only options for doing free at Amazon with KDP is if your book is in
KDP Select which allows
5 days of free for every 90 days in the program or to
set it free elsewhere and get them to price match.
