I was following our local news on Facebook. There had been a truck vs train wreck.
A parade was going over the railroad tracks. One of the drivers said he saw the lights but thought they were for the parade. 4 people on the trailer he was pulling were killed and the other 8 were injured.
Anyway one Facebook poster said why didn't the parade organizers contact the train so it could have stopped for the parade.
Note: we are talking mile + long freight trains.
