Hello - I'm a librarian who found this thread while trying to help a patron with this issue. I contacted OverDrive today, and this was their response:
Thanks for contacting OverDrive Support, and I'm sorry for the trouble you're having. Our developers are aware of the issue you mentioned and are working hard to fix it. Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated time of completion yet. I appreciate your patience.
Soo, at least it's a known problem.
