Oh yeah, it has tons of unrealistic stuff, but it's still fun to watch. 2012 is another movie like that. The plot was so unrealistic that it made me cringe. But watching everything blow up/sink/etc. was a lot of fun.

I actually laughed at that when I saw it and commented on it to my friend. But I saw someone make a comment online recently that actually had a plausible explanation for that. The head scientist (played by Brent Spiner) at Area 51 did say that most modern technology was based off of what they had reverse engineered from the alien spacecraft. So Apple's OS was apparently based off that technology and that's why it worked.

Too bad the movie didn't make that explanation canon, it's a neat theory.
