Sometimes life changes in three generations, sometimes not. Orphaned at two in a large, Italian-American family, Renie's never known a mother's love. Weaned on rejection and raised on neglect by a bitter stepmother, she's unsure how to mother her own children, unwittingly passing on what she believes are the proper roles of men and women.
5 stars for THE MERCY OF TIME AND CHANCE, a Kindle Unlimited book. “I loved it! I stayed up until 2AM. I couldn't put it down. Very accurate portrayal of an Italian-American family in the beginning of the century. Many dysfunctional families can relate to the feelings these women in this family had and what they had to endure. The men are not portrayed as likable with a few exceptions.”
