Do you find the current speed and battery life of eInk devices to be inadequate for your needs? If not, there would seem to be little point in waiting. The two main users of battery power on eInk devices are the screen and the WiFi module, neither of which will benefit from a more power-efficient CPU. The CPU uses a relatively small percentage of the power.
