Don't they have to protect the USB port with some kind of plug? If you do the same to the cover connectors, you won't be able to effortlessly slide the cover on and off. That's probably why they didn't do water proof.

Also, kobo got there first so it probably ruined the appeal for Amazon

Uh oh...i think the oasis uses the same screen as the PW3 and not the voyage ,can it get any worse?
The PW3 and voyage look very close to same too, but most give an edge to the voyage. Wait for other reviews.
