I suspected from the beginning that it was primarily a matter of the pre-KT devices, some of which run firmware several years old.
There were recent(-ish) security updates for the K3/K4NT even after the PW release, but not for the K2/DX(G) -- and guess which devices need an additional semi-secret update.
