I can acces the device within the OS, so I can but stuff on my Kobo. Just Kobo isn't recognizing it.
As the OS can see the device, you can try disabling the KoboTouch and KoboTouchExtended drivers (though you should only have one enabled at a time) and either use "save to disk" or "Connect to folder" to put the books on the device.
