We didn't have instruction manuals, because things weren't complicated. And if they were, there was always Billy Kenny or Lyle Crommett or another of the guys who was born knowing things and could show you how to do it.

The only exception to that was sex. Nobody knew how to do it, so there was the so-called Marriage Manual written by a guy with a Dutch name. Van der Pelt? Something like that.
