I tend to start on several books at once, then focus on one and shunt the rest off to the back burner. It's survival of the fittest for my attention Sometimes I do alternate between two books, one fiction and one non fiction, or one light fiction and one serious. But if I'm reading more than two at the same time, it probably means I'm not really into any of them.
